Isobel and Ewan

The first signs of Spring have started to appear in The Cohen's garden in Cambridge.

Isobel is an extremely talented choreographer and contemporary dancer. She is also just coming to the end of her Degree in English which she is reading at Cambridge. A truly beautiful bride.

Last Saturday she married Ewan, a brilliant musician (of course!) at Shire Hall in Cambridge.

As I expected, the wedding was chic, understated and stylish.

But there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

The couple are expecting their first baby in May. It was so lovely for them to have him...or her there on their special day.

I love Cambridge and I've been itching to do a shoot at this gorgeous cafe, Fitzbillies on Trumpington Street. I think you can probably see why.

The couple are used to an audience and they were certainly attracting a crowd.

The couple's reception was at The Arts Theatre restaurant, a perfect place for me to get some, conceptual shots.

Isobel and Ewan are just such a lovely couple...so cool and laid back. They were a delight to photograph and were willing to let me experiment a bit - well, she is a contemporary dance artist!

Bravo, both of you. Thank you for a super day. You are fabulous!

Planes, Bikes and Bumble Bees!

Ian and Larisa are dear friends of mine and it was so good to spend some quality time with Dylan, their little boy. He's such a character!

Dylan is just so bold. He loves his bike and uses it for big adventures. It was as much as we could all do to keep up with him!

Ian made some paper aeroplanes for Dylan to fly. They flew so much better with the aid of his special flying goggles!

There was a buzzing in the bushes and sure enough, when Dylan looked VERY closely, there was a busy bumble bee - who'd have thought? - at this time of year!!

Like many an explorer before him, Dylan took a tumble and scratched his nose. He was so brave. Luckily, mummy and daddy had some raisins to hand. Someone else had their eye on them too!

It wasn't long before we were all smiles again and I was able to get some final shots.

With beautiful light to boot, it was a joy to photograph my gorgeous friends.

Norwood School

A few weeks ago I went back to skooool! The Norwood School is rebranding and is launching a marketing campaign. The staff asked me to be a part of their exciting project.

The pupils were a dream to photograph. They looked immaculate and were really hard-working all day.

I had so much fun, going down memory lane and visiting classes in all my favourite subjects.

Even Maths looked fun!

The school has a sixth form and it was especially thrilling for me to see this group really throwing themselves in to their specialist subjects...

As you might know, I have a special interest in dance and there was the most dynamic dance class going on. It really gave me itchy feet so I couldn't help choreographing this shot!

Good luck all of you and thank you for being so utterly photogenic. I look forward to another day at Norwood.

Fun at Fox Hill

As a special Christmas gift for his father, Anthony arranged for me to come to his parents' home in Shelford, Cambridge and photograph his family.

Anthony's brother and his wife had come over from Australia for Christmas and New Year with their gorgeous little boy, Freddy.

Siblings together again!

There was a brilliant game of hide and seek going on and highlights of the shoot were the sightings of a Monkjack Deer in the garden....

...and the lesser spotted, David, the cat!

David lives at the family home since he had an accident whilst living in the city with Anthony's sister. So the best friends were also reunited!

Happy days for these two. I can't wait to photograph them again this year when their new baby arrives! Watch this space!

Barley

There's a new edition to the Grose Family!

This was one of Barley's first walks! He lives in beautiful Calcot, Coln St Denis in The Cotswolds with Sophie and Alex, his doting parents!

At just a few weeks old, Barley is already a confident, playful little pup with a nose for naughtiness!

His ears look like they've been dipped in caramel. He really is the cutest little thing you've ever seen.

"That's not my puppy...he's too fluffy!"

Enjoy every moment of these puppy chew months, Sophie and Alex. They're gone, too soon!

Augustus

Meet Gus. He's a friend of mine and a little more than a friend to my pup, Diesel. Diesel ADORES him! He licks his ears every time he sees him. In fact, he's been inspecting my work over my shoulder very time Gus appears on the screen! It must be love!

Augustus' owner, Anthony asked me to do a portrait shoot of the two of them. I jumped at the opportunity and it just so happened that the shoot was on a beautiful winter day on Midsummer Common in Cambridge, their favourite walking spot.

Gus will do almost anything for a Boneo but really, he is such a photogenic boy, I had my pick of perfect poses!

The light was gorgeous.

The relationship between these two is fabulous. Playtime was just a hoot!

"Erm, did you say Tommy Hilfiger was looking for a new model?!"

Thanks, Gus and Anthony, for a lovely morning. Diesel was really quite jealous!

Fun Family Portrait

Sophie is the first person to take advantage of my Christmas special offer and used her voucher to have a very special family portrait session at one of her sisters' house in Epping Forest.

Sophie asked me to photograph her, her four sisters and all eleven grandchildren as a gift for her mother.

The ages and personalities of the kids varied a lot but they definitely had a great sense of humour in common!

I absolutely loved photographing the kids, individually. It gave me a chance to chat to all of them (and pick up some tips on fashion and XFactor!)

After the individual portraits, we did some family group shots...including 'the big one'!

Introducing...Harvey!

He's here, he's here!

Remember I photographed the beautiful, blooming Lucy in the summer? Well, I was so delighted to visit her and her brand new little baby boy at their home in Fulham on Saturday. Harvey was wide awake for most of the shoot. I found myself waiting for him to go off to sleep so that I could get my snoozy shots!

Lucy and Gary are both such natural and attentive parents. Mind you, being a nanny, Lucy has had a bit of practise!

Photographing a baby without a nappy on is a dangerous business! Luckily you can't quite tell from the photographs!

Baby Harvey is such a little miracle.

He was a dream to photograph. It's not often a 2 week old baby looks right at the camera so when he did it was a real gift. Welcome to the world, little angel.

Lucy and Gary, thank you so much for letting me take such intimate shots of you all. You can't beat the natural beauty of a tiny baby so close to his mummy and daddy. x
