Sarah and Meng - Selwyn College Sweethearts

Cambridge is such a special place. I am thankful I live here and have the opportunity to make the most of the glory it's colleges have to offer.
Sarah and Meng are Selwyn graduates who returned to their home from home for their preparations and marriage in the stunning chapel.

Sarah's best friend couldn't make the day in person but was wired in via Skype for the preparations.

As you can imagine, the boys were perfectly organised and equipped with sausages to keep Benny (and Meng) happy! So handsome, Benny-Boy!

Such a beautiful bride...and a dutiful bridesmaid, calming nerves and protecting Sarah's gorgeous dress from the puddles.

Sarah and Meng's ceremony was quiet and traditional and they were married by an uncle of Sarah's. A wonderful, personal privilege for the happy couple.

The three of us made the most of Selwyn for photographs as the couple made their way out to their fabulous vintage car.

The couple and all of their guests managed to navigate their way through flooded roads to the spectacular Longstowe Hall.

...and as though God was smiling on us, out came the sun for their arrival and some perfect photograph opportunities for me.

I LOVE THIS VENUE!

The lake and gardens of Longstowe Hall are so romantic.

Sarah and Meng were just so so happy. It would have been difficult not to take photographs that reflected their love for each other.

The weather stayed fine for the group shots - hooray! I was so looking forward to photographing Sarah's brothers. She is one of two sets of twins!!!

Meng is originally from China. His family and heritage were celebrated with chopsticks as favours. What a lovely touch!

The speeches were brilliant and...go girls! Yeah, the girls started them off. Super!

Sarah's mum actually made the cake.

I loved the alternative guest book idea. Each guest wrote on a piece of patch, later to be made in to a patchwork. Ingenious!

Sarah and Meng had a first dance rehearsed to wow their guests.

...but in the end, this is my favourite shot of the day - just pure emotion and love between husband and wife.
Thanks for a wonderful day, Sarah and Meng. I felt privileged to be part of your wedding. x
