Beautiful Eyes and Dragonflies...

Meet Molly! Molly's mummy and daddy are getting married in Cambridge next month.

Andrea chose me to be her wedding photographer because we know each other of old. We both used to be dancers in our previous lives (actually we still like to move a bit!)

She met Adam through her sister, Sarah. It was pretty much love at first dance!

Andrea and Adam's wedding is going to be remarkable, after all, the proposal was sensational.

Andrea's favourite time of year is Christmas and she loves the snow. Adam bought a snow machine (!!) and filled their garden with snow on Christmas morning. He and Molly watched her rush out in to the garden where they were waiting with the ring!

And another remarkable thing happened on our shoot a few weeks ago...

A beautiful Dragonfly perched right on Andrea's ring.

Can you believe it?!!

It's all so meant to be and I just can't wait to be a part of Andrea and Adam's special day.

I could be seen kicking my shoes off for a bit of a dance with some old (not that old!) faces.

...and Molly will look like a princess. Possibly the most loved and loveable little girl in the world. Congratulations Mrs G-to-be!!

Debs&Howard

You can probably imagine how excited I am about photographing Deb's and Howard's wedding in a few weeks time.

Well, let me tell you it gets even better for me as they're getting married in Little Abington Church. Little Abington is where I grew up, just a few doors away from Debs. We didn't know each other then. It's just all a happy coincidence that they chose me as their wedding photographer!!

After the ceremony, we're going to Deb's grandma's house for a marquee reception. Her grandma's house is set in the land you see here...perfect for photographs.

I couldn't resist getting them in to this field, probably just a few days before it's harvested.

It was so lovely to hear Debs tell Howard about how she used to play here as a kid.

This is her special place and soon she will share it with all of her family and friends to celebrate her new husband!

Howard saw Debs working at Greens gym in Cambridge and pretty much fell for her there and then.

He talked her in to going on a date and the rest, as they say...

...is yet to come!!

Sarah and Meng - Selwyn College Sweethearts

Cambridge is such a special place. I am thankful I live here and have the opportunity to make the most of the glory it's colleges have to offer.
Sarah and Meng are Selwyn graduates who returned to their home from home for their preparations and marriage in the stunning chapel.

Sarah's best friend couldn't make the day in person but was wired in via Skype for the preparations.

As you can imagine, the boys were perfectly organised and equipped with sausages to keep Benny (and Meng) happy! So handsome, Benny-Boy!

Such a beautiful bride...and a dutiful bridesmaid, calming nerves and protecting Sarah's gorgeous dress from the puddles.

Sarah and Meng's ceremony was quiet and traditional and they were married by an uncle of Sarah's. A wonderful, personal privilege for the happy couple.

The three of us made the most of Selwyn for photographs as the couple made their way out to their fabulous vintage car.

The couple and all of their guests managed to navigate their way through flooded roads to the spectacular Longstowe Hall.

...and as though God was smiling on us, out came the sun for their arrival and some perfect photograph opportunities for me.

I LOVE THIS VENUE!

The lake and gardens of Longstowe Hall are so romantic.

Sarah and Meng were just so so happy. It would have been difficult not to take photographs that reflected their love for each other.

The weather stayed fine for the group shots - hooray! I was so looking forward to photographing Sarah's brothers. She is one of two sets of twins!!!

Meng is originally from China. His family and heritage were celebrated with chopsticks as favours. What a lovely touch!

The speeches were brilliant and...go girls! Yeah, the girls started them off. Super!

Sarah's mum actually made the cake.

I loved the alternative guest book idea. Each guest wrote on a piece of patch, later to be made in to a patchwork. Ingenious!

Sarah and Meng had a first dance rehearsed to wow their guests.

...but in the end, this is my favourite shot of the day - just pure emotion and love between husband and wife.
Thanks for a wonderful day, Sarah and Meng. I felt privileged to be part of your wedding. x
