80th Birthday Party

Last Saturday there was a rather special gathering at Menzies Hotel, Cambridge.

These cousins all gathered with the rest of their family to celebrate their grandma's 80th Birthday.

The family is really musical and everyone brought their instruments.

These are some of my favourite shots of the day.

There was one star of the show, as usual. She adored the balloons. Don't we all?!

The gorgeous little Amy kept everyone amused throughout the day...and kept me on my toes for the family portrait shoot!

Gotcha!!

Thanks for a brilliant day, everyone. x

Rachel and Jared

This handsome, Oxbridge pair are getting married next year. Jared is about to take a job in Jersey so he and Rachel decided to have an engagement shoot before he left.

The rain kept stopping and starting so we took the opportunity to get some shots outside their wonderful little home, situated right on Cambridge's Midsummer Common.

Once the rain had stopped, we made the most of the beautiful evening.

Rachel is an amazing rower so we stopped at her college boat club for a few shots.

I know Cambridge is very special to Rachel and Jared so these pictures will help them remember their time there.

I thought their stunning outfits deserved some grandeur...I'd been saving this location for just the right couple!

One for the new desk, perhaps, Jared!

I Love your Bump!

Well it's not long now before the beautiful, blooming Lucy gives birth to a brand new baby boy or girl.

It's the best job in the world to be able to photograph a new mum during this miraculous journey...

...and I loved helping Lucy celebrate her final few weeks of pregnancy.

Lucy came from Fulham to see me and we had a perfect day to visit the Cambridge Botanic Gardens for her shoot.

We also went to the studio for some more intimate shots. A surprise for the baby's daddy!

He loved them and so do I. I can't wait for the new arrival. x

Little Button Nose

Last year I met the very talented and lovely Julie Donnely at a wedding fair and we immediately hit it off when we saw each other's work. Julie asked me to photograph her exquisite wedding stationary for her website and print. Of course, I was very flattered.

Julie's company, Little Button Nose , is doing a roaring trade. It is a real honour to be associated with it.

Her bespoke stationary is available as invitations, menus, place names, table plans and order of service pamphlets.

With thanks to Breeze in Cambridge, I was able to use beautiful silk flowers, boxes and tins and other bits and bobs to really make the shoot a success.

Good luck with the rest of the season, Julie and thanks for a fantastic shoot.

Maperchief!

I was asked to photograph this ingenious new invention so that the designer can demonstrate how it works to potential buyers.

I went to The cotswolds for the shoot, hoping for spectacular light.

I wasn't disappointed.

I'm thinking Barbour! Please make enquiries to John.ohare@nsn.com

Richmond Family Portrait

I met Grit and her adorable family in Richmond Park earlier this month.

Grit and Sean and a gorgeous couple and I loved photographing them in this stunning location.

The star attraction of the day was Grit and Sean's beautiful little girl, Sophie.

Her favourite thing to to that day was to pick daisies ... and give them to everyone else!

Close runners up to the star were these fellas, who were hanging around in just the right places for Sophie to be introduced and for me to get some of my favourite shots.

We all went for a walk together through the lush ferns.

It was such a fun and amazingly sunny sunny day.

Sophie is a very special little girl.

Thank you for being such perfect models!
