Secret Garden Wedding

I love Burwash Manor, near Cambridge and so was very drawn to the Secret Garden Marquee Open Day. It is a little ambition of mine to photograph a wedding there!

I made a few friends so thought I'd give some of them a shout out on my blog!
First up, the very talented, Julie of Little Button Nose.

I think you'll agree, her designs are charming. She will design your invites, order of service, place cards and just about anything to do with stationary. She's just a girl who loves stationary! Check her out!

Next up, Joali is the ingenious name for Jo and Alison's lovely lollipop business. I was so inspired, I got some to use as quirky props for an engagement shoot the next day. Watch this space!

What a fun way to tell someone those magic little words! They also make great favours for guests of all ages!

The gastronomic delights seemed never ending! The Larder and Catherine Buckle of Delicious had a stall that made your mouth water. It was jam packed with yummy, locally sourced produce.

I actually ordered about a dozen of those amazing meringues for my sister's hen do picnic last year. They really are a spectacular treat!

Vintage crockery is just all the rage at the moment but, rather than raiding old ladies' homes for it, you could call on these guys! Georgina, Clare and Jenny at Gorgeous Vintage Crockery Hire have obviously clubbed together with an awful lot of their grannies' best china!

And now, for the piece de resistance...

... the divine, I Biscotti di Debora.

I can honestly say (and I'm a real foodie) I have tasted very little as delicious as these incredible little cakes and desserts.

I was truly inspired by the wedding cake ideas. Chocolate Mousse cake, it seems is made just for me!

...err...so what will the rest of the guests be eating?!!!

...and then my carriage was awaiting me. I WISH! But what a dream car that Classic Cars Cambridge can russle up!

Well, you never know. Maybe next year! Hope you had a great day, everyone.

Sandra and Arthur's Winter Wedding

It may have been cold outside but the warmth of Sandra and Arthur's wedding glowed all around the little village of Girton, Cambridge.

Preperations started at Sandra's mum and dad's gorgeous house, a perfect setting for my photographs.

Rachel, my most fabulous second shooter, waited at the church with Arthur and his best man. They were there real early!

What a fairy tale! White horses, the lot. The bridesmaids looked as though they'd been wrapped in snowflakes and sent by the snow queen.

Sandra really was a beautiful bride and looked just the part, stepping out of that carriage.

The service was traditional but fun...

I tried not to make Sandra walk around too much in that dress...but it did look so good!!!

Something told me that this had been a lifelong fantasy of Sandra's.

She found her prince charming in the form of the handsome Arthur. They are such a happy couple.

The Great Hall at Girton College provided the perfect setting for Mr and Mrs Chapman's darling girl. Nothing but the best, 'cause she deserves it.

Sandra's dad's actually been a film extra in some period films. He really is a character.

The cake was one of the most lovely I've seen. Sandra and Arthur cut it with the family heirloom sword which was a fantastic touch.

So then the dancing started. (accompanied by a live singer!)

The happy couple seemed to be in a world of their own.

All good things come to those who wait.

Baby Bathtime!

My nephew, Seven Alexis is possibly the most gorgeous baby in the whole world! (Well, I might be a bit biased, I suppose.) He is five months old now, can you believe?

Bathtime is Seven's favourite time of day. He wiggles and giggles and splishes and splashes. It really is melt your heart stuff.

He's at the age when he's starting to smile at you from across the room and grab stuff (mostly hair and glasses!)...

...and yes, those are two teeth you can see in that cheeky smile. I love you, little angel.
